BIRDIES 2023 FUNDRAISER FOR THE EDMONTON EPILEPSY ASSOCIATION
The Edmonton Epilepsy Association is proud to be participating in this fantastic fundraiser for 2023: The Birdies for Kids Shaw Charity Classic, presented by Altalink.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Shaw Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink is a non-profit program under the Calgary Shaw Charity Classic Foundation. This program is designed to help raise new funds for local charities, engage the community in the tournament, and provide matching funds for each charity involved.
- You can donate online or by cheque between March 1 and August 31
- Donations can be made to the Shaw Charity Classic Foundation matching pool or directly to a participating charity
- Donations directed to the Edmonton Epilepsy Association are matched up to 50% using the Foundation matching pool
- All administrative costs are covered by the tournament, meaning 100% of all donations will go directly to the Edmonton Epilepsy Association.
SECOND ANNUAL FUNDRAISING FOR THE EEA
The EEA is proud of this second annual opportunity to increase its fundraising efforts through this wonderful initiative. In 2022 we received more than $60,000 (through the matching donations through Birdies for Kids) and were able to directly support kids and youth initiatives, including the full launch of our Kids Website at https://epilepsyweb4kids.ca/.
This year we plan to raise funds to continue to support kids and youth projects, including a kids’ club with special fun projects, to build stronger communities with children who live with epilepsy, their siblings and friends.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Between March 1 and August 31, 2023 you donate to the EEA through cheque or online donations to the BIRDIES FOR KIDS – SHAW CHARITY CLASSIC PRESENTED BY ALTALINK. The non-profit will collect all your donations on our behalf, and will match them up to 50%. Once the program ends (August 31, 2023) the non-profit will connect with the EEA and we will receive all funds raised in 2023.
