HOBSCOTCH

The HobScotch (HOme Based Self-COgnitive Training Changes lives) is a cognitive program and memory coaching training program for people with Epilepsy. The EEA is pleased to launch the offering of this new service for all its members living with epilepsy. Members who apply will be screened to ensure they qualify for the 8-week program.

Mentoring

Get connected to someone in a similar situation – whether you are a person with epilepsy or a parent of a child with epilepsy. If you are looking for support, or are interested in providing support to someone else, contact us.

Support Groups

We offer a monthly Adult Support Group meeting, facilitated by our Counsellor. Parent support is on an individual basis. Please contact us if you are interested in attending one of our support groups or wish to . A brief listing of meeting dates is available on the first page of the latest EEA Newsletter.

Individual Referral, Support and Advocacy

Individuals may find themselves in a situation where they need information, support and at times, an advocate. Contact us to meet with a staff person for assistance in completing AISH applications, housing subsidy applications, dealing with Human Rights issues and information on other social assistance needs.

We also have a Counsellor available for individual sessions. Members may access this service by contacting the office to make an appointment.

SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS

The Association offers numerous monthly opportunities for members to participate in social, recreational and learning opportunities.  Stay up to date by viewing our News & Events or reading our Newsletter.
