HobSchotch Webinar

Epilepsy is a chronic neurologic disease that impacts approximately 3.5 million people in the United States. Over half of people living with epilepsy report difficulties with cognition. This can include problems with attention, thinking, learning, remembering, reasoning and planning.  HOBSCOTCH (Home-Based Self-Management and Cognitive Training Changes Lives) is an epilepsy self-management program designed to assist people manage and cope with their cognitive problems in order to feel more in control and lead happier more productive lives. Problem Solving Therapy is a key component of the HOBSCOTCH program. We invite you to join us to learn about how HOBSCOTCH can help you to improve organizational skills, disease management and social skills.

The webinar will review:

  • the effects of epilepsy and its treatment on cognition (thinking, memory, attention)
  • problem solving therapy and memory strategies
  • the benefits of participating in an epilepsy self-management program
  • building self-management and cognitive skills to take control of day-to-day life
