You’ve decided to become a member. Excellent! We have 3 different types of membership. Click the button below to select the membership option type that suits you best. We offer one-time, automatic annual renewal and discounted 3 year payment options.
INDIVIDUAL
Individual Membership identifies individuals who live with epilepsy, support someone who has epilepsy or support the epilepsy cause at large. Individual members in good standing, have right to one vote at EEA general meetings. Individual members have access to all EEA services, can run for directors of the board and volunteer with the association.
Does one or more of the following apply to you?
- you are interested in a membership just for yourself
- you live with epilepsy
- you support someone who has epilepsy
- wants to support the epilepsy cause at large
FAMILY
Family Membership identifies family members living in the same household and can comprise up to five (5) members, between parents, guardians, and children. Family membership grants voting rights at the EEA general meetings, up to two (2) members of the family unit, eighteen (18) years of age or older. All family members registered through this form have access to all services and programs by the EEA.
Does one or more of the following apply to you?
- you are interested in a membership yourself and members of your immediate family living in the same home
- you or a family member live with epilepsy
- you support someone in your family who has epilepsy
- you would like the children in your family to participate in special EEA children’s activities
- do you and members of your family want to support the epilepsy cause at large
AGENCY
Agency Membership of the EEA – are non-profit and registered charities who support the epilepsy cause. Agency
members are granted one (1) vote at EEA general meetings, and the representative from the agency can have access to
all EEA services and programs, can run for directors of the board and volunteer for the association. Specific additional
members of the registered agency can gain access to EEA services and programs by becoming individual members.
Does one or more of the following apply to you?
- you are interested in a membership just for the agency you are involved with
- your agency provides supports and services for persons with epilepsy
- your agency would like to support a like-minded organization
- your agency would like to support the epilepsy cause at large
All membership terms start / renew November 30th of each year. If you join after/prior to November 30th your payment for the upcoming year will be pro-rated. The payment may include the pro-rated amount plus the upcoming full year (depending upon when you sign up). After the first year, you will be notified 30 days in advance (November 1st) that your membership renewal is coming up. If you have any previous, unpaid membership dues, they will be added to the renewal. New sign ups in September or October will received those two months free with their paid membership starting November 30th. 3 Year terms will be adjusted to reflect a November 30th anniversary renewal date.
