Motivational Speaker | Founder of Courage Canada Trail-ride

Curtis Anderson is a living testament to the power of resilience and determination. In 2002, Curtis suffered a life-threatening brain injury while riding a bull at the Ponoka Stampede, leaving him with an uphill battle to reclaim his independence. After spending three weeks in a medically induced coma and an entire year in a rehabilitation center, Curtis embarked on a remarkable 20-year journey of recovery. His path was neither easy nor quick — it took him 8 years to relearn how to drive, another 8 years to navigate stairs with the railing on his left side, and 10 years before he could pick up change from a countertop. It wasn’t until 16 years later that he could pick something up from the floor.

Yet through it all, Curtis never gave up. His message to others is simple, but powerful: “Never give up.” Curtis is a firm believer that each day is an opportunity to do better, be better, and perform better. His journey has shown that with relentless determination, you can overcome any obstacle.
Today, Curtis is a sought-after motivational speaker, sharing his story and encouraging others to push through their own challenges, no matter how insurmountable they may seem. He uses his experiences to inspire people facing adversity to adopt a mindset of perseverance and hope, proving that no matter how tough life gets, “Life Goes On.”

In addition to his speaking, Curtis is the founder of Courage Canada Trail-ride, a 12-mile trail ride dedicated to raising awareness for brain injuries and supporting others affected by similar challenges.
Now, 23 years after his injury, Curtis continues to make progress and remains a beacon of hope for anyone who believes their journey is too difficult to continue.
