
The Edmonton Epilepsy Association is proud to announce a new in-person educational symposium about epilepsy, which will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Chateau Louis Hotel, in Edmonton. This symposium will be focused on the community of people impacted by epilepsy, along with their caregivers. We are planning a list of high calibre presenters to share expertise in epilepsy treatments and other topics that are relevant for everyone who is impacted by this neurological disease. SYMPOSIUM LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The following are key learning objectives for the Epilepsy Symposium June 2025:
- Engage with community members, from all walks of life, who are impacted by epilepsy.
- Share relevant information about seizures, epilepsy, treatments, and other coping strategies to support those impacted by epilepsy.
- Facilitate in-person exchanges between epilepsy specialists and the larger community.
- Connect members of the epilepsy community by offering a chance for individuals to share stories and learn from others who have similar experiences with epilepsy.
- Provide tangible resources about epilepsy for all in the community by capturing presentations and conversations during the event, and placing them online for public use.
